Slashy Hero is a cartoon style hack'n'slash, released on iOS/Android mobile devices by The Gentlebros studio. It was founded by former Tekmo Koei employees, who have worked on such recognized franchises as Dynasty Warriors, Fatal Frame and Dead or Alive.
Plot
Slashy Hero tells a funny story about how once a mysterious evil creature stole all the sweets in the world. In the context of the upcoming Halloween holiday, this fact could have meant a real disaster. To save the situation, the hero grabs the sword and sets off on a journey through an endless dungeon to defeat the villain and its guards.
Mechanics
The action is shown from an isometric perspective, and the game boils down mainly to exploring and slashing enemies. The combat system in the game differs from a typical hack'n'slash and is based on gestures - we perform individual attacks by drawing with our finger on the touch screen. However, this seemingly simple task will require a bit of tactic, because there are many types of opponents on our way, and each of them uses a slightly different fighting technique. The game offers a total of almost 50 different levels. We can also get a few dozen clothing elements for our hero, which will allow us to adjust its appearance to our own preferences.
Technical aspects
Slashy Hero is characterized by cartoony graphics, which are dominated by intense colors.
