Sky Aces belongs to the genre of budget, arcade flight simulators. The subject matter of the programme is the First World War, and specifically its air aspect. We take the side of the Allies or Germans, and then perform a number of tasks entrusted to us by the commanders, contributing to the global military success of the chosen country.

The creators decided on numerous deviations in the realism of the flight model and the battlefield, in order to create a much easier and lighter program. Thanks to this, you do not need to memorize the user's manual and remember the complicated keyboards - just a reflex and a good eye is enough to jump into the whirlpool of air battles quickly and without complex training. Despite the high affordability of this product, the programmers decided to create a series of training missions that will introduce us to the secrets of tactics and provide us with a better view of the capabilities of available aircraft. There are twenty of them in the game, ten on each side. Each machine received a detailed graphic model, which faithfully reproduces the real construction, including the characteristic painting patterns.

We have fun using two basic gameplay modes: campaign and a single scenario. The first option is nothing more than a logical set of missions with increasing difficulty, more or less referring to real battles of the First World War. The second module allows you to play a single, casual air battle. In total, 52 different battles await us, requiring a wide range of skills: from classic dogfights, through hunting for powerful, majestic zeppelins, to bombardment of ground units. If you have a problem coping with a particular task or, on the contrary, going through further missions is not a challenge for us, there is a three-step difficulty level in succour - it allows both complete yellowfinches and experienced veterans to have fun. Finally, it is worth noting the product's considerable technical configurability, with the ability to enable graphics settings for older PCs - which will certainly be appreciated by owners of very weak machines and laptops.
