Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment is the first of four micro extensions to the 4X strategy in Poland known as Sins of a Solar Empire: Sins of a Solar Empire: Sins of the Sun Empire. Again, we have at our disposal three warring sides of the conflict - the technologically backward Trader Emergency Coalition, its opposite - focusing on advanced Vasari Empire technology and the great vestibular skills of Advent (Expellees).

However, the developers introduced a few changes to the game, which solved most of the problems that fans of Sins of a Solar Empire complained about. One of them was an unusual difficulty in defending its territory, especially against the opponent using the so-called hit and run tactics (i.e. quick attack and quick retreat). Now, the ability to create minefields and Subspace Inhibitor platforms (capable of slowing down enemy ships) and improvements that can strengthen many buildings, including, of course, defensive turrets, will help us on the defensive.

The authors have also added new structures, Star Bases (Space Bases), which can perform different functions depending on how we decide to expand them. In addition, they can occur not only on the surface of planets, but also in previously uninhabitable areas, such as stars and gas clouds. Skillful use of these platforms can sometimes turn the scales of victory on our side, it also makes it possible to use various tactics - Space Bases can be used, for example, as points of trade, sources of raw materials extraction, factories producing ships or defensive guns. In order not to make it too easy, however, within the framework of balance, the number of these structures is limited, and new units specializing in the destruction of the Bases have been added.

Of course, as before, we will spend a lot of time extracting raw materials and strengthening our economic power. It is also worth taking care of relations with other nations - for example, we can form and break alliances or trade. The basic version of Sins of a Solar Empire already had a pretty good graphics, but thanks to Entrenchment it became even more impressive. Of course, the game is realized in full three-dimensional.
