SiN: Reloaded

SiN: Reloaded is a re-mastered version of the classic Ritual Entertainment FPS from 1998. The game will offer the content of the basic version of the game and Wages of Sin add-on. The remastered edition was developed by the Slipgate Ironworks team, known for GRAVEN, Kingpin: Reloaded and Rad Rodgers.

Plot

The plot of the game has not changed compared to the original. The action takes us back to the near future, to 2037, at a time when the world's most powerful corporation is SinTEK Industries. She starts selling a drug that turns people into bloodthirsty mutants. The company's president, Elexis Sinclaire, wants to create an army to take control of the Earth.

We impersonate John Blade, the commander of the HardCorps security forces guarding the streets of the mega city of Freeport. On his shoulders falls the stopping Elexis and SinTEK Industries.

Mechanics

SiN: Reloaded is a classic FPS, in which we explore levels, solve simple puzzles and, above all, fight hordes of enemies with a rich arsenal of firearms. The enemies have been equipped with an extensive Artificial Intelligence module, which allows them to hide behind covers, call for meals, or search maps for a player.

The game is characterized by a very interactive environment. Many elements can be destroyed, and each map is full of objects that we can activate, such as computer terminals with a text operating system.

Game modes

The game offers a role-playing campaign and PvP multiplayer mode with Deathmatch and Capture the Flag variants.

Technical aspects

SiN: Reloaded is a more ambitious project than typical remasters. The developers have prepared new models and textures that present a higher level of detail than the original ones. Errors and technical issues were also corrected.

There is also support for high resolution widescreens, including ultrapanoramic monitors. The developers also took care to remove the censorship of some graphic elements and to implement support for gamepads.
