The second official add-on for Sid Meier's Civilization II. This time around, the developers prepared a dozen new scenarios maintained in fantasy and science-fiction setting.
The expansion enriches the game with 19 new missions that take place in different mythical world, such as Midgard or Atlantis, using stories from literature (Julius Verne), or referring to other games by MicroProse (Master of Magic, Master of Orion, X-Com). In order to properly illustrate the “theaters of war”, the developers put more emphasis on creating new units. The add-on also comes with special tools for creating own scenarios. The player may not only create his own maps, but also design units to his own liking. If he lacks ideas, though, it is possible to make use of the unit library that contains about 500 projects ready to use.
