Shutshimi Description
Shutshimi, released on PC, PS4, etc., is a fun side-scroller shoot'em up. The game was developed by Neon Deity Games.
Plot
The main character of Shutshimi is a goldfish. Our task is to descend into the deepest parts of the ocean to deal with the dangers threatening the sea kingdom. The title, thanks to the unusual mechanics, is extremely dynamic, and the situation on the map can change rapidly.
Mechanics
The main character, like any fish, has serious problems with long-term memory. Due to his nature, he is only able to remember the events of the last ten seconds. Equipped with a powerful rifle, we face hordes of opponents in short scenes, after which we forget about all our achievements. The next wave requires us to collect all the improvements again. From time to time, we are faced with a boss who must be defeated in ten seconds. Subsequent levels are generated randomly and in theory, they never end.
The only fixed element, which we unlock during underwater voyages, are hats and cats. These special items modify the game by, e.g. increasing the number of opponents visible on the screen. Everything else resets every time we play.
Game modes
Shutshimi offers not only a single-player mode but also cooperation for up to four players.
Technical aspects
Shutshimi is characterized by simple 2D graphics with a multitude of colors and a lot of humorous elements, such as the appearance of opponents (like the sharks with swords or sunglasses).
