Shogun: Total War - The Mongol Invasion Description
The Mongol Invasion is an official expansion for Shogun: Total War in which we go back to the ancient Japan. Previously, we concentrated our efforts on uniting the entire kingdom under one banner, this time, however, the action takes place in 13th century, when the Japan was threatened with an invasion of Mongol-Korean hordes lead by Kublai Khan. The add-on offers three new campaigns, including the Mongol side of the conflict. We will take command of new completely new units, such as Korean spearmen and bombardiers (who make use of primitive powder charges). The enemy AI was also greatly enhanced, thanks to which the game will require tactical and strategic thinking even on lower difficulty levels.
Shogun: Warlord Edition, a special edition of the game which was released at the same time, contains both the original Shogun: Total War and The Mongol Invasion expansion pack.
