Plot
The game's playable character is a young farmer put in charge of a small, neglected farm next to Sheep Village.
Though the game does have a main storyline, it mostly focuses on sandbox gameplay.
Mechanics
Shepherd's Crossing tasks us with running a small farm. We must plant plants, harvest crops, raise animals and expand the farm by constructing new buildings or fences.
The player must do all of this manually. Unusually, there's no money within the game - to acquire certain resources, we must trade materials with villagers.
The game features changing seasons, each with new challenges and opportunities. Available activities include hunting vermin using dogs, producing meat and wool.
Game modes
The game only supports singleplayer.
Technical aspects
Shepherd's Crossing makes use of a simple yet appealing, colorful, comic-book like 2D artstyle.
