A well-known insider claims that we will soon see an announcement related to the Shenmue series. However, it will not be a sequel of Shenmue III, but a completely different project.

Studio Ys Net and Deep Silver revealed recommended hardware requirements of PC version of Shenmue III, which will debut on the market next month.

Studio Ys Net and publisher Deep Silver have changed their decision. Players who are not satisfied with the option of getting an Epic Games Store key as a reward for the money they pledged to the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter campaign will be able to request a refund. Returns will be funded by Epic Games.

According to the CEO of Epic Games, Tim Sweeney, the lack of keys distribution via Steam is the fault of Valve. Their policy doesn't allow this in the case of games that have their release outside of their service.
