A classic two-dimensional point and click adventure set in a magical fairy-tale forest. We play the role of a little skylight looking for a missing mother. During the adventure we will have to gain the trust of the magical forest by solving various puzzles.

She and the Light Bearer is a two-dimensional point-and-click adventure game that takes the players to a fantasy world filled with music and poetry. The title's developer is independent Indonesian team at Mojiken Studio, which has produced several smaller PC games.

Plot

We play as a small firefly traversing a huge fairy-tale-like forest in search of missing mother. To find her, the protagonist must earn the trust of the magical creatures that inhabit the forest by passing a series of tests that require the character to solve various puzzles. The narrative is presented in the form of short poems accompanied by original music to complement them.

Mechanics

The gameplay in She and the Light Bearer is fully linear. We are guided through all the chapters of the story as we solve the following puzzles. Puzzles should not be a big challenge even for inexperienced players. The title emphasizes the plot and the fairytale atmosphere built by the audiovisual setting.

Technical aspects

She and the Light Bearer features high quality two-dimensional visuals. All the locations we visit are presented in the form of detailed, hand-drawn illustrations enriched with animations. The gameplay is accompanied by a soundtrack consisting of a dozen or so relaxing acoustic pieces.
