The world premiere of the popular TV animated series Shaman King took place in 1998 in Japan. She was quite quickly successful also in the number of comics and playing cards sold. Shaman King: Master of Spirits is one of two games that extend the adventures of the heroes of the series.
Yoh Asakura is a young boy who has been given the secret of using magical abilities. He is a shaman - one of the few people who can communicate with phenomena and spirits. Thanks to his abilities, he can combine his own human powers and skills with the supernatural powers of spirits. Once Yoh joined forces with the phenomenon of a samurai called Amidamaru, which was killed 600 years ago. Together they start their expedition to a big tournament held once every 500 years, during which you can win the crown of the king of shamans.
Shaman King: Master of Spirits is an original platform game presented in the classic 2D perspective. The story of the game tells the story of the fight between Yoha and Amidamaru against the evil shaman who resurrected the ancient Demon Guardian. It must be prevented at all costs from further action. In order to complete this task, the heroes have to break through a number of levels in fantastic locations filled with a variety of enemies, puzzles and traps.
Apart from the new opponents, our friends known for their comic books and animated series will help us many times during the expedition. Also known opponents will come back, who more than once will prevent us from doing so. With time, Yoha develops and we gain further shamanic skills (e.g. pushing away, throwing objects, accelerating). We can also support ourselves with the abilities of two different souls at the same time.
The fun takes place in places known from Yoha's previous adventures as well as in completely new locations. In addition, each level has many branches and inferior stages that need to be overcome. The entire layout was maintained in a specific style representing an alternative vision of the real world. All graphics were prepared by animators responsible for the TV series.
