Semispheres is an original maze-based logic game developed by Vivid Helix. The game was released on multiple platforms, including PC, XONE and etc..

Mechanics

Semispheres sees the player control two medusa-like creatures, each moving on its own plane. The base idea seems to be simple – we have to lead both creatures to a gleaming portal that enables them to escape the area. Yet, there is a catch – both entities are controlled simultaneously, each moving on its own version of the given level. The game is characterized by its fluid-like controls – each creature is controlled by one analog stick.

The levels are full of obstacles and sentries that intent on stopping our journey. To get past them, we need to plan our approach and avoid numerous pitfalls. Our job is made easier by gateways, enabling both creatures to switch planes to avoid some of the dangers found along the way. In essence, each level is a logic minigame that requires continuous effort on our part.

Technical Aspects

The game is characteristic for its unusual, vibrant graphics, combined with an ambient soundtrack to create a relaxed, meditative atmosphere.
