Steam
A combination of an extraction game and a MOBA title, created with online PvPvE type of gameplay in mind. In Seekers of Skyveil players form 3-person teams and fight on the arenas. The goal of the game is to obtain the best loot and then safely reach the extraction point with it.
Seekers of Skyveil is a production that combines two genres - MOBAs and extraction titles. It was developed by the California-based studio Elodie Games and is the debut project of this team.
Story
Seekers of Skyveil takes us to the titular land, where we can encounter both untold riches and deadly dangers. These first ones are sought by the Seekers, whom we embody, while the threat is posed both by their colleagues and peers, as well as the creatures living here.
Gameplay
In Seekers of Skyveil we watch the action in an isometric view.
Seekers
The game gives us a range of characters to choose from, each with different preferred weapons and skills, and consequently - fighting styles. Zuraya is a warrior fighting in close combat, Kumu is a creature using the power of nature, the sorceress Lillia casts ice spells, Joon is a gunslinger showering enemies with a hail of bullets, Neri is a healer, while Aric, armed with a sword, makes use of the power of lightning.
Arena combat
During the game, we form teams of up to three people and enter arenas where we engage in dynamic battles inspired by the MOBA genre. Individual areas are randomly generated, and on our way we encounter both other Seekers and opponents controlled by AI, led by powerful bosses.
We must demonstrate tactical sense during combat, skillfully using the strengths of individual team members, as well as organizing ambushes. We can also sneak around, slipping away from the enemy's line of sight or making use of the tall grass.
Loot and extraction
Combat is not the goal itself here. Our primary job is to gather as much loot as possible and reach the extraction point with it. It's up to us whether we decide to make a quick escape, or stay longer on a given map. This will increase the risk, but also give us an opportunity to win more valuable rewards.
Character development
As we progress, we develop our characters and gather increasingly better equipment. Over time we not only become more effective in combat, but also gain access to higher level maps.
Coop and other game modes
Seekers of Skyveil is based on PvPvE rules. Our team must face both Seekers controlled by other players and opponents controlled by artificial intelligence. The game only allows for online multiplayer.
