Secret of the Magic Crystals is a casual simulation of horse breeding, produced by the Artery Studios development team. The player plays the role of the owner of the stud in a fantastic world, and his goal is to breed and train great steeds, triumphs in prestigious competitions and expansion of the breeding center.

Secret of the Magic Crystals is the work of the Hungarian development team of Artery studio, which specializes in providing graphic elements for high-budget game production (e.g. Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Driver: San Francisco, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit). The title is addressed to horse lovers from the circle of so-called casual gamers.

The action of the game is set in a fantastic world, inhabited by many magical creatures. The player plays the role of the owner of a slightly dilapidated stud farm. His task is to bring it to its glory and breed fairytale steeds, including pegasus and unicorn.

The game is divided into several aspects. The first and most important is care for horses, which need to be fed, cleaned and trained. There are 5 varieties of mountaineers in the game, each corresponding to a mythical mount species. Steeds can be subjected to four training regimes, improving, among others, their strength and jumping ability. In addition, by completing missions, the player gains title magical crystals and items needed to create special mixtures and horseshoes.

Exhibiting horses in competitions allows you to win magnificent cups, as well as financial resources, which can be used to expand the stud. In total, the game features over 700 accessories to buy for virtual money.

Secret of the Magic Crystals is distinguished by its attractive, for a casual production, visual setting. Models of characters and objects were generated in 3D graphics. The fairy-tale atmosphere of the game world was emphasized by the delicate blurring of the image and a large number of special effects on the screen (e.g. the fire surrounding the firewhite or stars scattered by the unicorn). The creators were also tempted by such details as consecutive seasons and changing weather conditions.
