Search and Recsue 3 is the third installment of the series of aircraft simulators by the InterActive Vision development team. Players sit at the helm of American Coast Guard helicopters and take part in a variety of rescue missions, most of which are based on authentic actions. The creators placed great emphasis on faithful representation of the appearance and flight behaviour of individual helicopters.

Search And Rescue 3 (SAR3) is the sequel to the highly successful and critically acclaimed Search And Rescue 2. Once again you're put in the pilot's seat of a US Coast Guard helicopter, where you'll experience the thrills and excitement of day-to-day search and rescue missions. As you progress in skill and rank, you will be faced with more and more difficult missions and hazardous rescue attempts...

SAR3 is focused on realism in helicopter handling and general physics, as well as a realistic story line and real-life USCG rescue procedures. There are no combat scenes or scenes of meaningless violence, and the primary goal and reward for you as the player is to save the lives of people in distress.
