Network first person perspective shooting (FPP). The action of the game takes place in the distant future on a small planet. Two powerful corporations compete with each other for a valuable mineral used in material conversion technology. Players play the roles of soldiers who fight in armoured suits for control of the planet.

Metal Planet is the first game in the development team of the Russian studio MetalPlanet. The production is addressed to fans of FPS network in science fiction climates.

The action of the game takes place in the distant future. On a small planet, deposits of an extremely valuable mineral are found, which is used in the process of metabolism. Two powerful corporations are starting a devastating war for access to the desired raw material. Players play the roles of soldiers equipped with armoured suits and fighting on a chosen side of the conflict.

The game offers four game modes: Control (teams must occupy all strategic points on the map), Convoy (one team protects the transport vehicle while the other team must destroy it), Gold rush (both teams have a transport vehicle, the one that manages to transport more raw material in a limited time), Fighting with boss (all players take part in the fight against a boss controlled by computer artificial intelligence; the person who first gains its core wins).

The gameplay mechanics is modelled on the solutions known from the Battlefield and Team Fortress series. The main goal of players is to score points for their team, whether by fulfilling the conditions for victory or eliminating opponents. Three character classes are available: assault, defender and support. During the fight the heroes gain experience, which allows them to master new skills and develop existing ones.

From the technical side Metal Planet is based on the capabilities of the original engine. It offers high quality three-dimensional graphics, an advanced physics model and an almost completely destructible environment.
