A turn-based strategy game set during the Battle of Britain. Scramble: Battle of Britain has us decide upon the movements of our planes, then watch them clash against enemy aircraft.

Scramble: Battle of Britain is a turn-based strategy game focused on aerial combat. The game was developed by Slitherine and is set during World War II's Battle of Britain. The game lets us pilot historical Royal Air Force planes (such as Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane and Gloster Gladiator) as well as Luftwaffe aircraft (such as Messerschmitt Bf 109, Heinkel He111 czy Junkers JU87).

Mechanics

Scramble: Battle of Britain has us taking part in aerial combat over the English Channel. Combat is turn-based and divided into three phases.

The first is planning, during which we determine how the units move, showing off our tactical skills and reflexes. In this phase we control planes directly, performing maneuvers, trying to get into the right position or shoot enemies. The game is fast-paced and decisions are time-limited. Afterwards, we can observe the results of our actions in real-time, when our strategy clashes against the enemies' strategy.
