Scathe

Scathe is a bloody and dynamic FPS that reminds of such series as Doom, Shadow Warrior and Painkiller. It was developed by Damage State studio.

Plot

Main hero of the game is Scathe - enforcer of infernal legions. To prove his worth (and above all - efficiency), the protagonist must go deep into the infernal depths and get the hidden stones, facing hordes of demons along the way.

Game mechanics

In Scathe we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). We explore undergrounds, with maze-like structure. Paths often split in several directions, offering different challenges.

While wandering through hell we face a lot of enemies. We eliminate them using mainly firearms. We have a machine gun, a shotgun and more sophisticated tools of murder, such as a crossbow with explosive bolts. Additionally, each weapon has an alternative fire mode. Gameplay is varied by simple arcade sections.

In addition to serial demons and monsters, which, as befits the cannon meat, are here in bulk, from time to time on our way there are powerful guardians. Guarding access to the stones for which Scathe went to hell, the latter play the role of bosses, and defeating them involves, above all, the need to fill their bodies with a myriad of bullets and demonstrate great dexterity and reflexes.

Game modes

Scathe can be played solo or in cooperative mode for up to four players. Players can join the game at any time.

Technical aspects

Scathe features high quality graphics. Both the rich colors and variety of locations, as well as the designs of enemies can please. The game is also brutal and the blood is so thick that the protagonist has to wipe the screen with a smooth hand movement.
