In Sanity, the player plays the role of a governmental agent - Nathaniel Cain, who has a pyrokinetic power (lighting fire). Since childhood Cain has been prepared to fight against rebellious psionics. The plot of the game begins with a mysterious theft of an experimental device to control thoughts. In order to recover them, Cain must complete dangerous missions, which eventually lead him to the place responsible for his training - the Aikena Institute. Is it possible that the defenders of mankind are its greatest enemies?
The unique combat system is a combination of fast isometric action (like Diablo or Nox) and card games like Magic the Gathering. Made on a modified engine, LithTech offers a full three-dimensional combat environment. Multiplayer mode is designed for 16 players who compete on arenas in deatchmatch mode (without using their talents) or Insanity mode (with their talents). Players can collect and exchange additional talents over the Internet, making the multiplayer game more varied, as even a new player can unexpectedly defeat an opponent. You can train in 12 different combat styles: shamanism, demonology, Egyptian alchemy, tricks of Las Vegas magicians and many others. The emission of psional energy and talents affects the appearance of individual characters in the game.
- More than 20 levels for a single player game, linked by an interesting storyline.
- 80 available talents such as Eye of Ra, Revenge of Mumia or Wall of Bones.
- 10 levels for multiplayer gameplay.
- An audio track of the title track "Sanity" by Ice-T.
