In the distant future on Earth there is a war between psionics with supernatural powers. The governmental agent, Nathaniel Cain, must recover the mysterious artifact and find the truth about his past.

In Sanity, the player plays the role of a governmental agent - Nathaniel Cain, who has a pyrokinetic power (lighting fire). Since childhood Cain has been prepared to fight against rebellious psionics. The plot of the game begins with a mysterious theft of an experimental device to control thoughts. In order to recover them, Cain must complete dangerous missions, which eventually lead him to the place responsible for his training - the Aikena Institute. Is it possible that the defenders of mankind are its greatest enemies?
