Samurai Warriors 3 is the only Wii edition of the popular series of games. This time, the creators from Koei used a completely new history and modernized the combat mechanics, adapting it to the capabilities of the Nintendo console.
The authors have placed thirty-five characters in the hands of the players, which differ in their statistics and weapons. All the characters are closely or further connected with the feudal history of Japan and have their own scripts. In addition, individual stories often intertwine to form a general outline of the situation in the Far East at that time.
Wii users can have fun not only in campaign mode, but also in any mode - either alone or in two people on a split screen or over Wi-Fi.
The creators modernized the mechanics by adding more opponents, as well as introducing new techniques, such as "Eiga", which allows for infinitely long combinations of blows. The divisions into types of weapons and hidden treasures have also returned to the game.
Koei complemented the game with a remake of the NES library production entitled Mystery of Murasame Castle, never released outside Japan.
Graphically, Samurai Warriors 3 resembles previous versions of the series, combining large locations with spectacular clashes of hundreds of warriors. The advantage of the game is the soundtrack located in the Far East climates and read dialogues.
