Classic RPG production set in the world inspired by Nordic mythology. Paradox Interactive studio, known mostly from Europa Universalis series and its numerous spin-offs (Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings) is responsible for creating the game. The action takes us to an open world in which fans of Scandinavian culture will find such mythical lands as Midgard or Muspelheim.

Plot
The action takes place in a brutal fantasy land inspired by the Scandinavian mythology. The adventurers can visit the vast forests of Midgard, the fires of Muspelheim and villages inhabited by communities based on Vikings. However, people are not the only sentient race that lives in this universe. During the campaign, we will often meet other beings, both hostile and friendly.
Mechanics
Runemaster is a classic RPG game, so we explore the world, perform quests and fight enemies. We are rewarded for our successes with experience points, which we then use to develop character skills. The whole campaign was designed to offer players enormous freedom in shaping their hero's fate. The combat is played in real time and we often command larger groups of warriors, which makes the skirmishes resemble RTS games. An additional attraction is a system of randomly generated world and quests. Thanks to this, each subsequent playthrough will always be different and interesting.
