The game offers the player competition in one of the seven available sport disciplines, with which a total of fifteen events and competitions have been linked. The quality of the title is guaranteed by RTL Enterprises, which has extensive experience in publishing games about winter sports.

Any of the available competitions (alpine skiing, ski jumping, curling, bobsleighing, tobogganing, biathlon, and fast skating) is equipped with an appropriate set of options and modes to motivate us to take part in subsequent competitions, constantly improving our skills in the field and fighting for fame and the highest awards. An additional incentive are the refined, detailed visuals, displayed by means of a modern, fully three-dimensional graphic engine. In this case, special emphasis was placed on a comprehensive presentation of landscape elements and the most faithful representation of the atmosphere of a real sports event. However, the game is not only aimed at hardcore maniacs, who are constantly watching competition broadcasts. The devs focused on the accessibility and simplicity of the game, not paying very much attention to the simulation as such. This does not mean, that during the game we do not feel any differences between specific disciplines - there has always been an attempt to best represent the nature of a given competition.

The driving force of RTL Winter Games 2007 are extremely complex multiplayer game modes. Thanks to uncomplicated controls, the title works well as a so-called "party game", i.e. it enables a larger group of friends to have fun on one PC, via two-player competition on split-screen or a tournament with up to four players taking part at the same time. In the era of mass online games it was impossible to ignore the potential of online gameplay - via the Internet we not only directly compete for victory with players from all over the world, but we also have the opportunity to upload and publish our best results to a global ranking server. I don't need to add how much prestige is associated with beating a world record for a given discipline, and thanks to a variety of available options and modes, every fan of winter madness should find something for themselves in RTL Winter Games 2007.
