Romans: Age of Caesar is an MMO strategy game, which is the spiritual successor to Stronghold Kingdoms released in 2012. The game was developed by FireFly Studios under the supervision ofSimon Bradbury and Eric Ouellette - authors of the best-selling Caesar series.

Mechanics

In Romans: Age of Caesar players observe the action from the top-down perspective. During the game, they play as the administrators of ancient Roman cities. THeir task is to rebuild the empire and restore its former glory. The game takes place on a shared map, on which individual players build their metropolises -They erect more buildings, collect the necessary resources, and recruit soldiers to defend their cities against barbarians. Cooperation with other cities plays an important role, not only in establishing trade routes or exchanging goods but also in providing military assistance to those in need.

Game modes

Romans: Age of Caesar was developed solely for the multiplying mode involving online cooperation.
