In 2010, Yuji Naka, the former head of the famous Sonic Team studio, revealed that he was working on a unique action game. Later it turned out that he was working on Rodea: The Sky Soldier for Wii and 3DS. However, the years passed and there was no new news about the production. One of the interviews confirmed that the Wii version was abandoned. At the end of November 2014, it was decided that the title will be released, but on the Wii U and 3DS. The game made its debut in 2015. Interestingly, the first copies of Rodea: The Sky Soldier on Wii U that went on sale included the original unpublished version of Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea on Wii.

Plot

Rodea: The Sky Soldier takes place on the Garuda continent. A girl named Ion accidentally awakens Rodeo, a mechanical warrior dormant for 1000 years, who returns to life with a destroyed right hand and amnesia. He only remembers that he took part in a fierce battle in which he met a girl similar to Ion. The two heroes join forces and set off to fight against the Naga empire, which is heading towards Garuda.

Mechanics

Rodeo can fly. Since this is an action game, there is no shortage of demanding battles, the most interesting of which are, of course, those with powerful bosses, the size of which many times exceeds the height of the main characters.
