Unique, free-to-play production of the independent studio Strange Panther Games, which is - next to the popular Goat Simulator - a kind of pastiche of the simulator genre exploited in every possible way. The game combines aesthetic values with unsophisticated, arcade gameplay and an original sense of humor of the authors.
Rock Simulator 2014 is an independent production which attracts attention with its subject alone. As the title suggests, we are dealing with the truest rock simulator. This original idea has been created by Strange Panther Games, an independent, two-person studio from Florida.
The production focuses largely on the aesthetic value, and is a real treat for all enthusiasts of rocks and minerals. It allows us to "admire" various stones scattered around the world and its diverse environments – from grassy hills to salt pans. However, the authors felt tempted to diversify the fun, making it possible to actually "become" a rock and participate in a variety of arcade mini-games. For instance, in one of them we have to direct a stone falling from a hill and avoid the encountered obstacles.
There's no denying that Rock Simulator 2014, much like the popular Goat Simulator, is characterized by a large dose of irony which has already been present in the first promotion materials of the developed game. Without a doubt, it represents a whole new perspective for the highly exploited simulator genre.
