Robbotto Description
Robbotto is an action platform game by indie studio JMJ interactive. The game was heavily inspired by classic 8-bit productions.
Plot
Robbotto is set on a space cruised, whose crew is fully robotic. A flight through a magnetic storm makes almost all the robots on the ship go insane. Two robots, Robb and Otto, are unaffected, as they are busy extinguishing a fire in one of the ship's rooms. They have no choice but to try stopping the hostile machines.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Robbotto involves simple mechanics. The game utilizes a side view, and the protagonists jump on platforms, avoid traps and obstacles, and eliminate opponents with ranged attacks, while dodging projectiles shot at them. Apart from twenty standard foes, you also have to fight ten powerful boss enemies.
Game mode
Robotto features a singleplayer mode and a co-op multiplayer mode for two players using a shared screen.
Technical aspects
The game features pixel-art 2D visuals. The melodic, chiptune soundtrack fits the oldschool atmosphere of the game.
