Simulation game with elements of economic strategy, in which we manage the activity of a construction company specializing in road construction and repairs. Our duties include, among others, the operation of various types of machines and constant care for the financial health of the company.

Road Works Simulator is a representative of the simulator genre with strategic elements that allow for a variety of real-world jobs. This time the focus was on road works. The player plays the role of the head of the company responsible for maintaining the local roads in good condition.

The actual gameplay has been divided into several dozen more or less complex stages, to which you gradually gain access. Each level has its own list of tasks and a time limit within which to fit in with their execution. The vast majority of commissioned missions are related to the main specialization of the company, forcing the need to build new roads, extend existing ones or repair surfaces damaged as a result of intensive use or adverse weather conditions.

During the game, however, there are less obvious orders. These include painting zebras and bicycle paths in places designated by the city, or digging into damaged power lines running under the road. The game is additionally hindered by random failures of the used equipment and the appearance of unexpected obstacles, such as rocky ground preventing efficient activities.
