RIVAL: Crimson x Chaos, released on AND and iOS, is a tower defense strategy game. It also contains elements of card games. The production is focused on an extensive multiplayer mode. RIVAL: Crimson x Chaos was developed by Section Studios (known from Zombie Killer Squad).

Mechanics

RIVAL: Crimson x Chaos is a classic tower defense strategy. The game is about battles between two teams - we win when we destroy more towers than the opponent, or when we manage to bring down their main tower (of course before they destroy ours). The availability of our units depends on the cards we have in the so-called champion deck. We can have up to nine of them, with one of the heroes acting as a leader - it has an additional ability and can be used on the battlefield for free.

Using all other units require a sufficient amount of energy, called mana. The battles last 3 minutes. The last 60 seconds is the so-called Override state, during which the mana regenerates twice as fast. It is worth noting that each of the heroes can also be improved (this is done by getting several copies of the same card) - their special abilities are strengthened and we unlock new skills.

Players can also join a guild to unlock additional rewards and bonuses.

Game modes

RIVAL: Crimson x Chaos offers only multiplayer mode. There are 7 leagues - wood, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond and champions.

Technical aspects

RIVAL: Crimson x Chaos has nice and colorful 3D graphics. The good-looking animations of abilities and spells also deserve attention. Its artistic style, even though it cannot be called original, does a good job at reflecting the atmosphere of this production.
