Risky Rescue is a simple arcade game for Android, Windows Phone, etc. platform, in which we fly a helicopter. The game was created by Digital Melody studio - winners of the Indie Showcase 2014 competition and the creators of the extremely popular Timberman. The title is available in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Mechanics
The concept of the game can evoke associations with the cult Ugh! from 1992. As a helicopter pilot, we take part in dangerous rescue missions, helping people who are stuck on the tops of mountains, windmills, lighthouses, roofs of trains, or hanging on a cable car wagon. The player's goal is to save everyone and avoid damaging your machine by one of the obstacles on the map. The task is undoubtedly hindered by the simplified helicopter control model, where touching the left or right side of the screen (or mouse on the PC version) results in the machine rising diagonally in this direction; precise control is impossible.
The game offers more than 50 different levels, and the sooner you complete the tasks before us, the more money will be added to our account. The funds gathered in this way can be used to purchase new helicopters with different parameters, such as acceleration or better armour. In addition to the classic campaign mode, the creators have also added endless mode, in which our main opponent is time.
Technical aspects
Risky Rescue is characterized by simple but colorful graphics, reminiscent of 16-bit productions from the early 90's. Despite the extremely simplified mechanics, the game requires almost surgical precision and can be a challenge even for experienced players.
