Rev to Vertex Description
Rev to Vertex is the debut game of the independent studio Plutonization, led by virtual-to-reality Hong Kong racers participating in the Macau Grand Prix. It's a racing game with simulation elements, set on the island of Hong Kong.
Gameplay
Rev to Vertex is set mostly on the Hong Kong streets and mountain roads, though there are some tracks set elsewhere as well.
We'll get to drive sports and racing cars of different classes, some licensed (such as the Devel Sixteen), some not. Though some names aren't official, the cars are still recognizable as the performance variants of the Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7 and Honda NSX.
The developers used their authentic racing experience, created a realistic, challenging driving system, which is even more difficult to master due to the winding roads. Fortunately, we can tinker and tune the cars to make them suit our preferences.
The default races work on different rules than in most other games. Street races aren't won by the driver who crosses the finish line first, but by the one who gains a significant advantage and leaves the others' field of view.
Alongside races against AI-controlled opponents, there are also drifting challenges and speed trials.
Game modes
Rev to Vertex supports singleplayer and multiplayer.
Technology
Rev to Vertex features high-quality visuals, especially for an indie game. The developers have used laser scans and geospatial data from the local authorities to recreate the Hong Kong tracks.
