Reel Fishing: Life & Nature is another representative of a very popular series that started with the title released for the first generation of PlayStation. Subsequent editions of Reel Fishing were released on Dreamcasta or PlayStation Portable. This time, however, we are dealing with a product developed exclusively for Nintendo DS console owners. It is still, of course, a sports product that focuses the player's attention on angling. It is worth mentioning here that the game was intended to satisfy both newcomers and more experienced anglers alike. A number of simplifications have been prepared for the first group. A properly developed tutorial was also taken care of. Lessons are held under the watchful eye of an experienced angler. It encourages the player to try new fishing techniques and also explains all the activities necessary for successful fishing. The release of the game was again taken care of by Natsume. The production is the responsibility of the Japanese Marvelous studio, which also released Lunar on DS: Dragon Song or Harvest Moon.
The producer of the game has, of course, prepared several dozen different floodplains, which can be visited. These places differ not only in appearance, but also in fish species that can be caught and weather conditions. There are, of course, different times of day or year to choose from. You can also activate the rain option or make fog appear above the floodplain. There are about 25 different species of fish to be caught. The game is devoid of brutality. The captured specimens shall be released after weighing and photographing. Of course, the extensive angler's equipment was taken care of. There are more than 100 different objects to choose from. It is also interesting to see the control, using the touch screen of the console. Fishing is played in a fully three-dimensional environment. They also took care of a camera showing the action under the surface of water. This game has a not very complex multiplayer mode, of course, with options to determine the rules for each fishery.
