Reel Fishing III is the next installment of the popular cycle that started on the first generation of PlayStation. Titles from this series appeared on many different hardware platforms, including Dreamcasta and PlayStation Portable. This time, however, we are dealing with a game released exclusively on PlayStation 2. This product is a rather complex simulator, dealing with the subject of angling. We are engaged in fishing on one of the dozens of available fishing grounds. The game is supposed to be equally interesting for both beginner anglers and eateries of the species. With the former in mind, a whole series of simplifications have been prepared, including both the preparation for fishing and the correct use of the rod. Natsume is responsible for the production of the game, which on PS2 has also prepared such titles as Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge or Finny the Fish & the Seven Waters. Reel Fishing III has not very extensive multiplayer for two people.
The main attraction of the game are very realistic floodplains, where we can catch fish. The manufacturer has prepared about twenty boards. These are mainly huge lakes located in picturesque regions. The player can, of course, move around freely, using a boat for this purpose. Additional attractions, not necessarily related to fishing, have also been taken care of. Performing certain activities (e.g. finding the wreck of another boat) you can, for example, unblock access to new sectors of the board. About thirty species of fish are waiting to be caught. Control, depending on the difficulty level chosen, can be quite complex. Also noteworthy is the possibility of any configuration of the season and weather conditions, which may additionally change during fishing (e.g. the appearance of fog). Graphically Reel Fishing III looks very good. The manufacturer did not forget about the additional shots of the camera, showing the details of the catch.
