RedJack: The Revenge of the Brethren is a three-dimensional adventure game showing the action from a first-person perspective (although in some moments we observe the actions from behind the main character). We spend most of our time collecting objects, chatting with encountered characters and solving puzzles, but the creators have also prepared a number of purely dexterity elements. That's why from time to time we are forced to jump over chasms, shoot a cannon or fight with opponents.
RedJack was a real terror of the seas and oceans. He managed to seize all the Spanish gold stored in Carthage, but was later betrayed by one of his companions. Spending his last breath on an abandoned island, he cast a curse on the treasure he had captured. On the same day Nicholas Dove was born. Seventeen years later, someone decides to get rid of him and sends a paid killer. The young man, placed against the wall, decides to escape by sea and becomes a pirate. As time goes by, his fate begins to intertwine with the legend of the RedJack sea wolf.
Cyberflix game control does not differ much from classic adventures. Most of the actions are performed with the mouse. When you hover the cursor over the lower edge of the screen, an inventory bar is displayed. We use objects by dragging them to a specific place on the board. On the other hand, during conversations with the characters we meet, we have several dialog options to choose from. Occasionally taking place duels usually require some kind of trickery in order to eliminate the opponent.
RedJack: The Revenge of the Brethren has 3D graphics. The creators put emphasis on presenting the world and characters in a humorous way, although the whole story is darker than in a similar series of Monkey Island adventures.
