Ready 2 Rumble Boxing PS1

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is a boxing game released in 1999 for PS1. The title approaches this sport in a rather humorous way, offering a plethora of colorful characters and unrealistic mechanics.

Mechanics

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing's combat mechanics are based on real boxing principles, but the game also introduces some unrealistic elements. Attacking your opponent charges a special RUMBLE bar. When fully charged, it allows you to perform a powerful attack unique to each character.

Players can choose from 17 boxers, some of which must be unlocked first. In addition, the platforms have one exclusive character. The Dreamcast version has Jimmy Blood, PlayStation owners have received Gino Stiletto, and Nintendo 64 has J.R. Flurry.

Game modes

In addition to the standard Arcade mode, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing also offers an extensive career mode in which our character can train, develop his career, and even bet on match results.

Technical aspects

At the time of its debut, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing stood out visually from the competition by the fact that the damage received during a match was visible on boxers' bodies. Moreover, the fights are announced by the legend of the boxing world, Michael Buffer.
