The huge success of the game with Rayman in the lead role caused that the producers decided to use their colorful fairy tale universe to create a series of educational games. This is how Rayman Brain Games (also known as Rayman Junior) was created, in which a friendly character teaches the youngest basics of mathematics and Polish language while having fun.
The story presented in the game is a slightly modified story, known from the first part of Rayman. The evil Mr. Dark returns, and this time the mysterious Book of Wisdom, containing all the knowledge of the world, falls prey to him. The desperate Magician and Fairy Bettilla - the characters known from the original game - call for the help of our hero to once again face the villain and regain a book priceless for the inhabitants of the Dreamland.
In the game there are 60 extensive and fabulously colourful locations waiting for us, and the general mechanics of the game does not differ much from the original one. So Rayman will run, jump, use his "flying fist" and his lush mane, replacing the propeller. However, the creators skillfully woven educational content into the whole environment of this carefree platforming. Therefore, during his journey, our hero will almost unnoticeably improve twelve different skills, such as reading, counting, recognition of numbers, words and others. The game has three levels of difficulty, thanks to which we can adjust the level of the game to the age and abilities of our pupils. In addition, Rayman can use Magic's hints throughout the game to keep an eye on the progress of the game.
Rayman Brain Games has been released on PCs and PS One consoles in many different configurations, with one to three separate parts. Depending on the region of the world, the game is also played under several different titles. Polish publisher, Optimus Pascal Multimedia company took care of high quality polszczenie, so that the game can also teach and entertain children in our country.
