Ranch Simulator is a farm simulator from Toxic Dog studio. The game offers players the opportunity to run their own animal farm alone or with three friends. In addition, the game leaves a lot of freedom in the expansion of farm buildings.
Ranch Simulator is a FPP farm simulator developed by Toxic Dog studio. It's not the first game by this developer, but previous ones (Dummy! and Catch a Lover) didn't gain much attention. The game allows us to take on the role of an animal breeder who tries to restore the splendour of his grandfather's old farm. The game focuses on cooperation between players (up to 4) and on freedom in constructing our own buildings.
Plot
Ranch Simulator starts when we arrive to our grandfather's farm. It used to be the pride of the area, but now it is destroyed and forgotten. The player's task is to repair it and continue the family tradition.
Mechanics
The game focuses on animal breeding. These are of several types of animals (e.g. chickens, pigs or cows) and each requires different living conditions and special treatment to maximize profits.
In Ranch Simulator we construct buildings by ourselves. This is a rather new concept, compared to most other games in the genre, where we order them ready-made. We have quite a lot of freedom in building, but to complete the project we need money, tools and resources.
Tools should be bought in the local shop, while wood can be obtained from the forest. There are also wild animals, which you can hunt in your free time. Be careful, however, as an attacked bear is not going to stand idly by. Furthermore, predators occasionally venture into our territory in search of easy food. Therefore, if we are careless, wolves can wipe out our breeding in the blink of an eye.
Terrains in the game are quite large, so it is worth getting a car at the local dealership; it will carry not only us, but also the animals. The first vehicle is given to us at the beginning of the game as an inheritance from our grandfather, but we have to pay a lot for better and bigger ones.
