There are two characters to choose from in the game - Buba and Bob. The little boys learned about the existence of the Rainbow Islands, which are full of diamonds. So they decided to go on a journey and find precious jewels. However, the player has to help them in this task.

During the tour of dozens of colourful locations, our heroes stay in soap bubbles. We move them with a stylus attached to the console. The authors showed ingenuity when it comes to the use of the device, because with its help we can paint a rainbow on the screen, which is used to move to higher floors. As with most platformers, at the Rainbow Islands Revolution, we're always busy jumping on the platforms, collecting extra lives, after-burns, etc. In the meantime, we are fighting against various enemies - overgrown spiders, beetles and caterpillars. We also avoid clashes with tanks, bombs and pistols of our opponents. In order to achieve a high score, we have to clear the locations of the opponents and find all seven diamonds hidden in each level. This way we can unlock bonus characters - Mike and Violet.
