Rain on Your Parade is a humorous game, in which we play the role of a "cardboard cloud" having the ability to control the weather. Our task is to spoil various parties and events and generally complicate people's lives. Game was developed and published by independent studio Unbound Creations.
Mechanics
In Rain on Your Parade we observe the action from top-down perspective. The game is about exploring the open world (over 40 levels have been prepared, and they are very diverse - we have ordinary towns, but also cultivated fields or military bases) and using various skills to destroy and make life difficult.
Initially, the range of abilities available is modest (we can mainly flood the area with rain), but as the game progresses it gradually increases. We unlock abilities such as triggering snow or tornadoes, hurling lightning bolts and even launching meteorites.
The player can also customise the appearance of the cloud by changing facial expression and selecting cosmetic items ( such as a hat or eye patch).
Game modes
In Rain on Your Parade we can play only solo. The core of the gameplay is sandbox mode for single player.
Technical aspects
Rain on Your Parade has nice, 3D graphics. The setting is kept in a humorous style, bringing to mind associations with animated films. The soundtrack was composed in a similar spirit - the music and effects seem to be taken straight out of a slapstick comedy.
