The fourth add-on for the popular economic strategy about railways. Railway Empire 2: Bella Italia DLC takes us to Italy and the expansion offers new maps featuring the north and the south of the country. We can also play new scenarious, buy new locomotives and transport new types of cargo.
Railway Empire 2: Bella Italia is the fourth expansion to the economic strategy game dedicated to the theme of railways, released in 2023. The authors of the original, namely the Gaming Minds Studios team, are behind the development of this expansion.
New features in the add-on
As the title suggests, the action of the Railway Empire 2: Bella Italia expansion takes place on the Apennine Peninsula. The DLC provides us with three maps, the first (largest) of which covers all of Italy, while the remaining two (and more detailed) divide this country into two parts - northern and southern.
Three scenarios were prepared for the DLC, namely Bella Roma (which begins in the 1850s), Per la Famiglia (starting 20 years later) and Milano Magnifico (it begins in the 1880s). The add-on allows us to both face the challenges associated with handling tourists in Rome and the Vatican, as well as tackle the task of gaining publicity among the branches of La Famiglia, and also help the north to recover after a devastating conflict.
The icing on the cake is being able to use 8 new locomotives (led by Mastodonte dei Giovi and Signorine FS Class 640 II). We can also transport 22 regional products (including pasta, grappa and white marble) and listen to 19 tunes inspired by Italy.

Railway Empire 2: Bella Italia allows for single-player fun or cooperative mode via the Internet.
