Railroad Lines: Railways is a simple railway simulation, produced by In Images studio in Krakow for Play-publishing. The game allows you to play the role of a driver and carry passengers and goods using modern locomotives and wagons.

Railroad Lines: Railroad Lines is a proposition of In Images studio and Play-publishing publishing house for less demanding enthusiasts of driving virtual trains. The gameplay is focused mainly on casual play, which is the realism of the simulation.

The action of the game was set in the so-called Vth Epoce Kolejnictwa, i.e. the period from 1990 to the present day. The player has the opportunity to play the role of a driver, who is as good at driving passenger trains as he is at handling freight transport.

The game features 20 modern locomotives and the same number of wagon types. Before each mission, the player has the opportunity to build a squad that will best cope with the assigned tasks. In order to complete the level it is necessary to score a certain number of points, the latter can be exchanged for elements of rolling stock.

Both the driving model and the physics engine used in Railroad Lines have been greatly simplified. Train control is practically limited to gas throttle and brake operation. Also, changing weather conditions along the route do not have a greater influence on the behaviour of the machine.

The audiovisual layer of the game clearly indicates its low-budget character. The quality of reproduction of locomotive models, as well as elements of the route environment significantly deviates from the standards of modern railway simulations. However, the creators were tempted to choose one of the three camera settings, including a view from the driver's cab.
