Railway Corporation 2 is an economic strategy in which we manage a railway company in the 20th century. We have to lay tracks, buy and improve trains, as well as establish and develop towns whose nature will harmonize with the main transport business.
Railroad Corporation 2 is an economic strategy that allows you to test yourself in the rail transport business. Game was developed by Corbie Games studio, the authors of the first part of the series and Bounty Train.
Mechanics
Railroad Corporation 2 starts at the beginning of the 20th century. The player's task is to supervise all aspects related to railroads. We have to lay tracks, buy trains and organize the transport of goods and passengers. All of this must be properly balanced in terms of business, maintaining a balance between income and investment.
Transport optimization plays a key role in the game. Players must carefully plan the shapes of the track network, as well as build bridges and tunnels. It is also necessary to properly manage connections so that there are no delays.
In the industry, we are not alone. In the game world there are several rival companies and we have to compete with them on prices and quality of service. It is necessary to constantly improve our fleet and buy new machines. Due to the fact that the action is set in the 20th century, steam trains are quickly becoming a thing of the past, replaced by more modern diesel and electric locomotives.
The player's activity is not limited to the railroad business itself. He must also establish towns and take care of their development. His duties include building factories, hospitals, banks and power plants. All this must be done in a way that will complement the transport part of our business and thus will increase profits.
Game modes
The game offers solo play in a casual sandbox mode. There is also a multiplayer mode, allowing both to compete with other players and to cooperate with them in the co-op variant of the game.
