RAGE 2: Rise of the Ghosts

RAGE 2: Rise of the Ghosts is the first big add-on to the first-person shooter RAGE 2, which was released in May 2019. The expansion enriches the mentioned production with a completely new location, faction (with its own storyline) and a new weapon and special ability. The DLC is paid and dependent. The authors of the original, i.e. Avalanche Studios and id Software, are responsible for its development.

Plot

The Ghost Gang is a true legend of the wilderness - its ruthless members once terrorized all those who had the misfortune to meet them on their way. But then the Spirits suddenly disappeared. Everyone assumed that somebody had managed to destroy them, but the truth turns out to be much more complicated and dangerous. When the gang returns years later and wreaks havoc again, the hero tries to stop the ruthless enemies.

Mechanics

RAGE 2: Rise of the Ghosts enriches the basic version of the game with a new location called Overgrown City, and the faction controlling it - the title Ghosts, a gang known from the first part of the game, which has changed a lot since then. The creators have also prepared a plot related to Ghosts, which we are gradually discovering by playing a game of expansion.

The DLC also introduces several items - a weapon called Feltrite Laser Launcher, a new special Void ability and a Ghost Motorcycle, a vehicle that can be found in a new location and taken to your garage (it can also be used in the basic Rage 2 campaign).

Game modes

RAGE 2: Rise of the Ghosts does not introduce any new gameplay modes. The basis for the fun is still a feature campaign.

Technical aspects

Technically, RAGE 2: Rise of the Ghosts does not make any changes to the graphics of the basic version of the game. However, we get a slightly different location, as well as opponents, vehicles and weapons. The antagonist models deserve special attention here - their projects bring to mind associations with supernatural forces, including magic and voodoo cult.
