Arcade game from the category of endless runners, in which we play a pair of high mountain climbers, escaping from the stream of lava falling from the top. During the game we have to be able to slide down the ropes, avoiding traps and dangers lurking on our way.
Radical Rappelling is an arcade game, which could be classified as an endless runner. However, instead of moving to the side of the screen, we slide down a rocky slope. Halfbrick Studios is responsible for the creation of the title - these developers have worked on such mobile hits as Fruit Ninja or Jetpack Joyride.
Mechanics
In Radical Rappelling, we play as two mountain climbers: Rip and Roxy, who have to escape from the lava stream falling from above. All the fun comes down to skillfully sliding down the rope and avoiding obstacles. Our task is to touch the screen at the right moments to help our character avoid dangers.
While sliding down, we have to collect coins scattered on our path and watch out for, e.g. spikes protruding from the wall, tight tunnels or rings of fire, with which contact results in immediate death. By performing various tricks we charge the special Remix bar which provides us with a few seconds of invulnerability - we can use this mechanic to quickly move a dozen or so meters down without worrying about any danger. As the game progresses, we gain cash and various bonuses, such as resurrection, increased multiplier, or a magnet that attracts coins.
Technical aspects
Radical Rappelling has a simple but eye-catching graphics design, but the main focus is on the gameplay. The game is available in a free model with microtransactions, and the purchase of premium currency allows us to unlock additional outfits for our characters, stronger and more effective ropes or the above-mentioned bonuses.
