Racing Simulation 3
Another proposal of Ubisoft company addressed to enthusiasts of Formula One races, unfortunately not having an official FIA license.
developer: Ubisoft Paris publisher: Ubisoft
Racing Simulation 3 is Ubisoft's fourth game for the fans of Formula One races. The three previous ones are F1 Racing Simulation from 1997, Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 from 1998 and F1 Racing Championship from 2001.
Game modes
Racing Simulation 3 doesn't have an official FIA license, which means that we will not come across authentic Formula 1 tracks, teams and drivers, but completely fictional, or modeled after the authentic ones. We can take part in races taking place on 16 tracks and face AI-controlled drivers or live players (multiplayer mode up to 22 players simultaneously via the local network and the Internet). Each of the computer-controlled drivers has different individual characteristics, style and driving technique, which affects the overall level. Six gameplay modes are available: Single race, Full race, Championship, Time attack, Private trials and Scenario mode.
Technical aspects
Compared to the previous games, Ubisoft used an improved graphical engine from the F1 Racing Championship (3000 polygons per racing car), introduced several new camera types, improved the physics and damage model, improved the AI, and extended the possibilities of car configuration (choice of tyre types, spoiler settings, braking force, etc.).
