Quick Yoga Training is a game that bears many similarities to Anywhere Yoga. You can definitely benefit from getting to know the titular philosophy; however, in contrast to the aforementioned Konami’s game which offers deep insight into the topic, Quick Yoga Training focuses on individual exercises. The game is a Nintendo DS exclusive.
Quick Yoga Training’s main advantage is over 180 asanas included in the game, i.e. real yoga-poses. Your training is assisted by a virtual instructor, whom you can ask for extra advice.
The game gives you full freedom in selecting exercises. Interestingly, the player does not have to stop workout each time they want to use the console’s touchscreen, as the game features voice navigation. The handheld’s microphone also monitors your breathing technique.
Quick Yoga Training’s visuals are very simple, since their primary objective was clarity. There are poses displayed on the screen, in order to help you perform a given asana. These were recorded with motion-capture technique and overseen by a professional yoga teacher (Mai Hashimoto as a representative of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation).
