Quantum Replica for PC, PS4 and XONE is a cyberpunk stealth game with metroidvania elements developed by a small Colombian studio ON3D, the creators of the 2D mobile arcade game Barbarux Under Attack.

Plot

Action in Quantum Replica for PC, PS4 and XONE is set in a distan future where cities are immensely huge. As a way of keeping the order and controlling people, government turned them into securely closed strongholds where each citizen is registered in the system and supervised by A.I. However, our protagonist is an exception to that rule. Not only does he not remember who he actually is and what he is supposed to do, but also he is not registered, making him the most wanted person in the city. The only way to regain his memory and find his purpose is to deal with all adversities and get into the heart of the metropolis.

Mechanics

Quantum Replica for PC, PS4 and XONE is a stealth game where action is presented from an isometric point of view. It is not, however, your typical stealth title, where we use the environment to hide. We won’t find many objects in the game’s world that will allow us to do so. To make matters worse, locations are filled with guards and various traps. Our hero has abilities that allow him to manipulate time and ‘hide’ in it. Thanks to that, he can sneak unseen, move through walls, and catch enemies in ‘time bubbles’. As we progress, we gain access to more powerful abilities that come in handy when facing bosses.

Technical Aspects

Quantum Replica has a grim, cyberpunk atmosphere. Game’s visuals are not that advanced, but we will see some various lighting effects that somehow ‘break through’ the overall grimness.
