A survival horror game by HKFiftyOne Games. The game starts in a secret NASA research facility, in which the staff experiments on a mysterious finding discovered on the surface of the Moon by the crew of Apollo 17 in 1979. Things very quickly get out of control and the lab is closed due to the leak of a dangerous substance. The protagonist is a member of a special team, which has to neutralize the danger.

Quadrant is a terrifying survival horror inspired by the events that took place in the NASA research center at the end of the 70s of the 20th century. The game was developed by the independent HKFiftyOne Games from California and, after the well-received Imbalace and Cold Fusion, is the third game in their portfolio.

The action takes place in 1979, in a secret research base of NASA. The famous Apollo 17 brings a mysterious finding to the Earth which, as it turns out, has some hidden, murderous properties. The studies get out of hand and the laboratory is closed due to the alleged leak of a toxic substance. In the game, we assume the role of a member of a special squad tasked with the contamination removal. Soon we discover the mystification and have to face the unknown danger all by ourselves.

We observe the events from the first-person perspective. We are constantly haunted by the symptoms an unidentified, murderous power’s presence, such as blood on the floor and shadows moving in the dark. The developers put an emphasis on an interesting story and non-linear experiences, giving the players the freedom of exploration, as well as opportunities of influencing lots of story aspects and the fate of the protagonist. The incredible atmosphere of the gameplay itself is also boosted by suggestive, creepy sound effects.
