Like many arcade games, Qix made her debut on coin-op slot machines in 1981. PeCet members waited only eight years later for a version for their computers from Taito.

The idea of the game is as simple as a wire. In a limited, rectangular area, the title object moves and any contact with it could result in immediate death. The idea is to draw figures of various shapes, gradually fill the board, while reducing the Qix manoeuvre area. In order to get to the next stage it is necessary to cover the specified area with lines (initially it is 65%). We are also disturbed by small sparks (Sparx), which in turn move along the edges of the field and the lines marked out by us. Of course, the further away, the harder. In case of danger and destruction of the dots we move, we can use additional "ryegrass", of which there are initially three.

Thanks to clear and transparent rules, Qix has become a permanent fixture in the history of video games. Despite the fact that the rules of the game are banal, the game is like a devil. The visual setting is very symbolic, but on the other hand it is difficult to expect fireworks from a game based on straight lines and a few not very complicated graphical objects. Qix also offers a multiplayer mode for two people, but the players fill the field alternately, never at the same time.
