Puzzles for Clef is a platform game with adventure and puzzle game elements. It was developed by Weasel Token, an independent studio, and published by Freedom Games.

Plot

Puzzles for Clef takes us on a journey to the world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. The main character of the game is a rabbit named Clef. The protagonist's sister - Cres - as a birthday present gave her an invitation to search for treasures on the island of their ancestors. Not thinking too long, Clef sets off on a journey to a place full of magic and mystery. As she progresses, she (and we along with her) learns more and more about both the island and her roots.

Game mechanics

Puzzles for Clef is a side-scrolling game. The adventure takes us through nine different regions of the island, including a bamboo forest and a castle floating in the air. While wandering through them, we jump on platforms and avoid numerous obstacles, as well as meet the island's inhabitants (including its ruler) and perform tasks assigned by them, helping them solve their problems. In addition, we often solve creative puzzles that involve manipulating objects or breaking ciphers. The puzzles are designed to be challenging, but at the same time allow us to relax instead of getting frustrated. Interestingly, you cannot die in this game; there are no enemies and therefore no fighting.
