Pulse Shift is the first production by the independent studio 3 Core. The developers' ambition was to combine a logical game with a 3D platform, an advanced physics engine and a first person perspective.
The game has no story. The player's task is to deal with a series of mazes in which you have to find your way to the exit marked with arrows. This requires, above all, the use and bending of the laws of physics and, in some cases, the manipulation of time.
The creators prepared 60 boards (50 normal, 7 bonus and 3 tutorial boards), grouped into chapters, each of which has a different visual style. As the game progresses, the player masters new abilities, making it easier to overcome piling up obstacles and avoid traps (e.g. turning the game world, stopping or moving back in time).
The user interface has been reduced to an absolute minimum. During the game, the player sees only the space around him/her and occasional messages about the time left to complete the level or the current energy reserve.
Pulse Shift features a simple yet aesthetically pleasing 3D visuals generated by the Neoaxis Engine. Attention is attracted by interestingly designed charts, depicting, among other things, the interior of the microprocessor or the world straight from the drawing board.
